Abeer Rohan Gosain is a 17-year-old innovator and environmental enthusiast currently in Grade 12 at The Shri Ram School in Gurgaon, India. Driven by a passion for technology and a commitment to sustainability, Abeer has dedicated his efforts to addressing the critical issue of tree health and environmental conservation through his groundbreaking project, Trevive (Tree Revive – Nurture All Trees).
Inspired by the silent crisis of declining tree health in India, Abeer developed Trevive, an innovative IoT-powered tree and plant health monitoring system. This technology utilizes real-time data collection and analysis to monitor key environmental parameters, including air temperature, humidity, and soil moisture. Trevive enables users—ranging from home gardeners to large-scale agricultural operations—to make informed decisions that enhance plant health and promote ecological balance.
Abeer’s journey with Trevive has involved extensive research, prototyping, and field testing, resulting in the collection of data from over 2,200 trees. His innovative approach has earned Trevive recognition, including a Design Patent and Copyright of Concept from the Government of India, highlighting its potential impact on sustainable agriculture and urban forestry.
In addition to Trevive, Abeer has demonstrated a strong academic and research background, having authored a research paper on bioinspired vibration damping systems and participated in the Sustainable Energy Engineering Innovation Program at Johns Hopkins University. He is also the founder of the Environment Energy Sustainability (EES) Learning Module System, aimed at educating middle school students on climate change and sustainability.
Abeer’s dedication to environmental initiatives is complemented by his experience as an intern at ReNew Global, where he focused on clean energy solutions and sustainability practices. His accolades include multiple Innovator of the Year awards for his various projects and impactful contributions to environmental science.
Outside his academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Abeer enjoys playing basketball, strumming the guitar, and leading as a school captain on the Senior Student Council. As he continues to innovate and inspire, Abeer remains committed to creating a sustainable future for our planet through technology and education.
